Reports: Former Southeast Polk (Iowa) star offensive lineman leaving Alabama
Former Southeast Polk standout offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor is reportedly leaving the University of Alabama.
Multiple outlets Wednesday reported Proctor is expected to enter the transfer portal.
Proctor could join a host of Crimson Tide players who are leaving following the retirement last week of legendary Alabama head coach Nick Saban.
Proctor, a 6-foot-7, 360-pounder, started all 14 games for the Crimson Tide, allowing 12 sacks and 36 pressures, per Pro Football Focus. He was voted to the All-SEC Freshman team by the coaches.
Proctor, a five-star recruit, was initially committed to his home-state University of Iowa but flipped to Alabama before Signing Day in December 2022.
Proctor was ranked the No. 1 offensive tackle prospect and the No. 5 overall recruit in the 2023 class, according to 247Sports. He held more than 50 Division I offers. Along with Iowa and Alabama, he also considered the University of Oregon.
At Southeast Polk, Proctor was a two-time all-stater and played basketball and competed in track and field.
